Characteristics of silicone sealing strips:
Heat resistance: Silicone rubber exhibits superior heat resistance compared to conventional rubbers, maintaining its properties virtually indefinitely at 150°C; it can be used continuously at temperatures below 200°C for up to 10,000 hours; and it remains serviceable for a limited period at 350°C.
Cold resistance: While ordinary rubber begins to lose its elasticity at around –20 to –30°C, silicone rubber retains good elasticity only down to about –60 to –70°C. Certain specially formulated silicone rubbers can even withstand extremely low temperatures.
Dielectric Properties: Silicone rubber strips exhibit a very high resistivity, and their insulating performance remains stable over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. Additionally, silicone rubber demonstrates excellent resistance to high‑voltage corona discharge and arc discharge.
