Since the rubber is substantially incompressible, the volume of the o-ring seal must be less than the volume of the groove preventing the seal, otherwise excess rubber will be squeezed out of the interstices between adjacent metal elements. For typical hydraulic mechanical applications in the seal, the groove is generally 65-70 percent of the space filled by the seal ring gauge. However, the experiment proves that the O-ring seal has better effect in high-pressure gas application, more groove filling and higher extrusion degree.
1. what is the "extrusion" effect? What problems will be caused by insufficient extrusion and groove filling process? The sealing ring structure extrusion and insufficient groove filling degree may cause sexual decompression damage, that is, the frequency of decompression will occur, and excessive extrusion and groove filling will also make the working temperature higher, and the o-type seal is intended to expand when it comes into contact with certain media. Anti-extrusion seal, as mentioned above, the performance of the rubber sealing ring material is generally similar to that of a very viscous fluid. Under the action of operating pressure, the rubber sealing material will be squeezed into the gap on the low-pressure side of the shell. This effect is called "extrusion".
2. what is "point"? Will the working pressure affect the damage of the sealing material of the rubber seal ring? When the pressure is relatively gradually reduced, the rubber will recover and will not cause any damage to the surface.
