The cause of bubbles in liquid silica gel molding Recently, when producing a batch of silica gel nipples, bubbles appeared on the surface of silica gel nipples in batches, which was not a quality problem before. The engineer of our silica gel product factory named Zhen silica gel and the quality test and analysis for 2 consecutive days found the cause of bubbles on the surface of liquid silica gel products. The following is our analysis:
1. Insufficient exhaust. After the liquid silicone raw material is placed in the molding die, a lot of air will be brought into the mold at the moment of closing, and the air cannot be integrated with the silicone raw material. If the air is not discharged, it will cause bubbles on the surface of the silicone button after molding.
2. The vulcanization temperature is too low. The vulcanization temperature is an important parameter for silicone rubber molding. Usually, silicone products are set at 160~200 degrees Celsius. However, sometimes the mold is not heated in the vulcanizing machine for a long time due to too long operation time outside the mold or other reasons, resulting in low temperature of the silicone molding mold and the vulcanization temperature of the silicone rubber, which will cause bubbles in the molded product. For this, we only need to increase the molding temperature, or open the empty mold into the machine to heat for a period of time in the operation to solve the problem.
3. The vulcanization temperature is too high. Just said that too low vulcanization temperature will cause silicone molding bubbles. In fact, too high molding temperature will also cause silicone molding bubbles. Personal is so understanding, molding temperature is too high, in the process of clamping pressure on the surface of the silicone material has begun to form, at this time the air has been trapped in the inside is difficult to discharge, so it will cause forming bubbles. For this reason, it is only necessary to appropriately lower the molding temperature.
4. Vulcanization time is too short, like vulcanization temperature, vulcanization time is also one of the important parameters of silicone molding, the length of vulcanization time determines whether the silicone can be completely vulcanized.
5. The structure of the mold is unreasonable, and the design of the silicone molding mold is not reasonable, which will also cause the silicone molding to produce bubbles.
6. In the process of using silica gel vacuum machine, the time and strength of vacuuming are not well grasped, which will lead to obvious quality problems of bubbles.
7. As long as the silica gel vacuum machine program is set up, the time is well grasped, the extraction strength is well grasped, the source of bubbles is reduced, and the mold filling is started after the vacuum is extracted by the silica gel vacuum machine. In the filling process, it must be remembered that there is not less filling and less waste of materials. More filling and more discharging materials can be recycled, because liquid silica gel and PVC flow before hot pressing is fixed, this can effectively reduce the gap between the abrasive and the product and reduce the presence of bubbles.
8. It is not cleaned when the abrasive tool is cleaned. When cleaning the abrasive tool, pay attention to the method and try to gently scrub with a soft fabric to avoid deformation of the abrasive tool.

When using liquid silica gel to make a mold, due to some details in the operation process is not properly grasped, it is easy to produce bubbles, what kind of liquid silica gel is not easy to produce bubbles?
There are two ways to make the mold and brush the mold. When filling the mold, bubbles are easy to produce because the bubbles should not be discharged. Therefore, in the production of mold to grasp a few points, it is not easy to produce bubbles.
1, try to use brush mode operation. Brush mold is through the brush to the silica gel layer by layer to the mold, this mode of operation is not easy to produce bubbles.
2. If it is a general-purpose mold-making method, when purchasing liquid silicone rubber, try to choose silicone rubber with low liquid viscosity, so that it has better fluidity and is easier to discharge bubbles during the mold filling process.
3, in the use of liquid silicone rubber, to reduce the amount of curing agent, so that the curing time will be longer, liquid rubber silicone will have more time to flow, so that the bubble discharge.
4. Liquid silicone rubber is AB two-component. Before use, AB should be fully mixed and stirred evenly.
5. Put the evenly stirred liquid silicone rubber into the vacuuming machine for vacuuming treatment
6, after vacuuming, do not use immediately, so that the bubbles in the liquid silicone rubber run out of the liquid, in use, so that there will be no bubbles in the use of liquid silicone rubber, pay attention to the above points, basically You can avoid bubbles during operation.
