1. Application and disadvantages of silicone rubber O-ring
Silicone rubber O-ringIt is a ring-shaped product made of silicone rubber. It is a classification of silicone rubber products. Silicone rubber O-rings have good characteristics such as wide temperature adaptation, sealing, insulation, dielectric, and environmental protection.

Silicone rubber O-rings are commonly used to make various seals, high-voltage wires and cables, rubber tubes for high and low temperature silicone rubber products, etc. because silicone rubber O-rings have the non-toxic, colorless and tasteless characteristics of silicone rubber products, and silicone rubber O-rings are also used in food and medical industries.
The disadvantage of the silicone rubber O-ring is that the price is relatively expensive compared to other silicone rubber products, and the corrosion resistance is not as good as other silicone rubber products. (1) Consider whether there is an impact load acting on the sealing part;
(2) Observe whether the working medium is gas or liquid, and consider the physical and chemical properties of the O-ring;
(3) The working temperature includes the instantaneous temperature and the temperature of alternating hot and cold;
(4) working pressure pressure size, fluctuation amplitude and frequency, as well as the instantaneous occurrence of higher pressure;
(5) Identify whether the working state of the O-ring is used for static seal, dynamic seal or sliding seal;
(6) Consider whether the mechanical equipment is working continuously or intermittently, and consider the length of each intermittent time;
(7) Understand the source of the sealing element material.
