In fact, the physical properties of silicone products are largely determined by the material of the product. When a product is produced, the physical properties of the product itself are basically stereotyped, so many times we will do a standard test on the raw materials of the product before production.
The first anti-aging test, aging test is divided into temperature aging, sunlight irradiation aging, loading aging and so on. Silicone silica gel products we use the most is temperature aging, in the aging test box, high temperature aging is generally divided into several grades, industrial general use 70 degrees, 70 hours, the temperature is divided into several grades usually 70 degrees Celsius, 100 degrees Celsius, 125 degrees Celsius and other testing time are 70 hours.
The second tensile test, which is well understood, is that under the same conditions, the maximum tensile force per unit area of the material can withstand without fracture, usually on the tensile machine.
The third extension performance test refers to what we usually call tensile elongation, which is the percentage of the maximum tensile length of the material to the length of the raw material at room temperature.

1. Tensile strength: It is the root limit ability of the product to resist tensile damage. It is one of the important indicators of silicone products. The life of many silicone products is directly related to tensile strength. For example, the durability of the cover rubber and the silicone shock absorber of the conveyor belt increases with the increase of tensile strength.
A: The tensile strength is related to the structure of silica gel: when the amount is small, the secondary valence of intermolecular interaction is small. Therefore, when the external force is greater than the intermolecular action, intermolecular sliding will occur and the material will be destroyed. On the contrary, the molecular weight is large, the intermolecular force increases, the cohesion of the rubber material increases, and the chain segment is not easy to slide during stretching, so the damage degree of the material is small. All other factors that affect the intermolecular force have an effect on the tensile strength. Such as NR/CR/CSM these silica gel has crystalline substituents on the main chain, the valence between molecules is greatly improved, and the tensile strength is also increased. This is one of the main reasons for the good self-reinforcing performance of these silicones. Generally, the tensile strength of silica gel increases with the increase of crystallinity.
B: The tensile strength is also temperature dependent: the tensile strength at high temperature is much lower than the tensile strength at room temperature.
C: The tensile strength is related to the crosslinking density: as the crosslinking density increases, the tensile strength increases, and after a larger value appears, the crosslinking density continues to increase, and the tensile strength decreases significantly. The tensile strength of vulcanized silica gel decreases with the increase of cross-linking bond energy. Can produce tensile crystallization of natural silica gel, weak bond early fracture, is conducive to the orientation of the main key crystallization, so there will be a higher tensile strength. Through the vulcanization system, the use of sulfur vulcanization, selection and use of accelerators, DM/M/D can also improve the tensile strength, (except for carbon black reinforcement, because of carbon black heat generation).
D: the relationship between tensile strength and filler: reinforcing agent is one of the important factors affecting the tensile strength, the smaller the diameter of the filler, the larger the specific surface area, the greater the surface activity, the better the reinforcing performance. The vulcanizate of crystalline silica gel appears monotonous decline because it is self-reinforcing non-crystalline silica gel, such as butylbenzene, which increases its reinforcing performance with the increase of dosage, and excessive use will have a downward direction. The fifth hardness test is the most basic and relatively simple test for silicone products. We usually make the material into a hardness block with a thickness of 10mm and measure it manually with a hardness tester.
