The edge removal process is an essential process after silicone molding. If the edge removal is careless, the burrs remaining on the silicone products will greatly affect the appearance of silicone products. Do you know how many methods there are for the self-removal of silicone products.

1. Manual self-disassembly: This is the most commonly used method. The advantage is low cost. The operator only needs to hold a tool and gradually repair the overflow along the outer edge of the silicone product. Especially for products with complex configuration and high precision requirements, it is difficult to be thorough and clean, moreover, it is easy to damage the connection between the body of the silicone product made of silicone and the overflow edge, often leaving tooth marks and gaps, thus leaving behind problems such as oil leakage and air leakage that affect the sealing. In addition, the dependence of manual trimming on the proficiency of operation is also very prominent.
Second, the machine edge removal: the advantage is that it can improve the efficiency and quality. The machine usually uses a special electric edging machine with a rotating blade. The blade used must be highly matched with the size of the product. If the inner and outer edges of the product have overflows, it can be designed as double-edged and multi-edged.
Third, cold side dismantling: the improvement of working efficiency and processing quality and machine trimming have their own advantages. The vulcanized finished product is connected with the waste side of the silicone product factory, and the edge is removed under freezing conditions. The process is to cool the vulcanized product under freezing and dynamic conditions, so that the waste side enters a brittle state, and then through mutual friction between themselves, or in rotation and vibration, under dynamic conditions such as swing, the waste edge is removed by friction, or the rigid pill-like medium is made.

If the pressure is unchanged, the higher the temperature, the shorter the vulcanization time will be. On the contrary, the lower the temperature, the longer the vulcanization time will be.
