O-ring (O-rings) is a widely used sealing product, and is recognized as a reliable sealing element. O-shaped rubber products with a circular cross-section are also called rubber o-rings because the cross-section is O-shaped. Although many types of seals have the same function, the widespread use of O-rings is more influenced by commercial reasons. For example, when a tighter seal is used, the housing required for the seal must be larger and therefore taller. This makes the whole device bulkier and the sealing ring taller than using a tight o-ring seal.
Because of many reasons, the O-ring is widely used, the relative factor is that it is relatively cheap; and it occupies a small space; secondly, the shell structure is very simple, and it is relatively easy and inexpensive in the design of mechanical equipment; it can be used in two Sealing in the direction, so only one seal is needed on the two-way action hungry device.

1. rubber NR: The main component is a high molecular compound made from rubber tree collection latex, which is also a polymer of isoprene. Sealing ring is generally suitable for the production of shock-absorbing parts, hydraulic seal use. Advantages: good wear resistance, elasticity and elongation; Disadvantages: easy aging in the air, hot texture becomes sticky, easy swelling and dissolution in mineral oil, alkali resistance but not acid resistance.
2. rubber NBR: Because of its good comprehensive mechanical properties, it is widely used in hydraulic sealing ring materials. Advantages: good abrasion resistance, air permeability resistance and oil resistance; Disadvantages: its ozone resistance, weather resistance, and not suitable for polar solvents, brake fluids
3. polyurethane PU: is a new polymer sealing ring material, widely used in mineral hydraulic oil, silicone oil, HFA/HFB type flame retardant liquid. Advantages: The sealing ring material has high mechanical strength, and the sealing ring structure has good wear resistance, can resist extrusion, high pressure, and good tear resistance; wide hardness range and high strength. Disadvantages: high temperature resistance and heat resistance performance is not good, can no longer be used for a long time under high temperature environment, not resistant to high-strength solvents and acid-base media.
